Universal Studios
With one theme park done, it was time for the next one - Universal Studios.
We started off by doing the world-famous Studio tour. We snaked our way through the backlots seeing some sets from famous films such as Psycho, Jaws and War of the Worlds. The best bit was the 3D Kong and Fast and Furious sections. Was better than any of the rides we would do.
Afterwards, we went to Harry Potter World, and Mel was thrilled. We all rode the Hippogriff rollercoaster, and the girls got some wands from Ollivanders. These wands allowed them to interact with Hogwarts by casting spells, which was cool.
Then we headed down to the lower lott to check out some the bigger rides. Darcey wanted to do the Jurassic Park ride and I was keen, so we joined the queue. Which was insane. We finally got on board and began the relaxing ride through Jurassic world. It didn't take long before all hell broke loose, literally, and we found ourselves being hunted by Raptors and Rex’s. The end of the ride was thrilling as we were about to be eaten, only to be dropped into the lagoon below, leaving us soaking wet. I was worried that the experience might have been too much for Darcey, but she loved it. It was her freida (favourite).
On our last day at Universal, we chose to spend all our time at Harry Potter World, as it was undoubtedly the best place. You can explore, shop, eat, and drink, and most importantly, experience all the magical offerings of Hogwarts. Later in the day, we decided to have an early one and start packing before meeting up in the evening for some dinner.
