Disneyland Birthday

Now for the main event—Disneyland Resort! But before all that we had a small matter of getting there via some of the most intense and daunting freeways on the planet.
Thankfully, Mel took it all in her stride and we arrived safe and sound. We checked in and met up with our friends for a few drinks.
The next day was Darcey’s fifth birthday and our first day in Disneyland. Our excitement levels were high as we made our way towards the park's entrance. Once in, we took some obligatory photos and headed our way to Town Hall to get our birthday and first-visit badges.
After years of planning and saving, we finally made it. It was a pinch-yourself moment for the Jacksons. The best bit was seeing the reaction on Darcey’s face as she saw all the magic unfold around her. We spent the morning exploring the park and going on some rides. In the afternoon, we went to the Bibbidi-bobbidi-boutique to celebrate Darcey's birthday. She chose to dress up as Tinkerbell and received the complete makeover treatment. She looked the part. We also took Harvey on his first and last main ride, as he lost it after just two minutes. Not a fan of It’s a small world it would seem, which is clearly the most tame of the rides. The guys stayed for the parade, and I took Mr. Magoo home.
