Santa by the surf
Today, we ventured to Bondi to see Santa. Normally, we would avoid Bondi like the plague, but our usual place was full, and we had a tradition to maintain.
Finally, after months of whinging about the rain, we got some hot weather. And boy did I complain. Walking down was fine, but carrying a 3-year-old back, well that was a tad uncomfortable. Mel was still struggling after her booster shot. Not that you would ever think that looking at her. Rocking a blue dress, she looked a million dollars.
After a mammoth walk, thank you sat nav, we got to North Bondi surf club. Santa was cool. How he can sit in that outfit is beyond me. Shot acquired, we decided to walk back. Bondi is also a bit of a Covid hot spot, so I was happy to get out of there. Darcey, naturally wanted to see the sea. But the waves were a tad choppy, and she didn’t like the sound. So, we high tailed it out of there. I was fine with that. It always amazes me, why people like Bondi. Yes, the beach, but it’s the amount of people, the posers, the smell, and backpackers… You can keep em. I’ll stick to Newtown and the Inner West thanks.
So, the Santa shot went well, or so we thought. On closer inspection, someone in our group had a slight wardrobe malfunction. Thankfully Mr Photoshop saved the day. Dignity assured and xmas shot done.
